01 / OUR BEGINNINGS
A colourful first step.
Minx began in 2000, when sisters Cushla Reed and Angela Buswell set out to bring something different to women’s footwear: colour, femininity and a bold point of view.
Since 2006, Cushla has carried on the story they began together as Minx’s sole owner and designer.
Twenty-six years on, that same spirit still shapes every collection. A little unexpected. Full of personality. Uniquely Minx.
02 / MEET CUSH
Shoes are in the family.
Cushla’s love of footwear began in her stepfather’s shoe factory on the Kāpiti Coast. Watching an idea become a shoe and then seeing someone wear it sparked a fascination that stayed with her for life.
Today, Cushla is Minx’s owner and designer, bringing her eye for colour, texture and unexpected detail to the shoes you love.
03 / INNOVATION
Always a few steps ahead.
From the very beginning, Minx has been about forward thinking design, and sometimes world firsts. Our early shoes introduced moki fish skin leather: buttery soft, and not unlike snakeskin. In 2003, Minx created another world first by setting pāua shell panels into shoe designs.
Since then, Minx designs have stepped onto catwalks, including New Zealand & Australian Fashion Week, and accessorising the looks of fashion designers.
But our favourite place to find them is in our ladies’ own Minx collections, where some pairs have been treasured for decades.

We’ve always believed beautiful footwear should feel as good as it looks. When we launched our Wellness collection, it brought that belief to life, and it quickly became one of our most-loved ranges.
